SUMMARY:Thursday LARC Net
DESCRIPTION:Hi all LARC members. the Thursday LARC net has been a great activity the last couple of weeks and may I take this opportunity to say thanks to all for making it so good. \n \nTo keep interest up I have decided to try an experiment this coming net\, on the 20th of December. On this net we will join\, as normal\, on GB3PO. Can all please try to also monitor the input frequency of 145.050MHz\, to gain power readings without using the repeater.\n \nOnce this is complete we will then move to 145.400MHz and again record the power and modulation quality. This information I will collect and we can then see just how good the repeater is and the simplex side as well.\n \nNow OK with only 5W\, I can open the repeater but would never make it to Leiston\, for instance\, so\, on 145.400MHz\, I will do a power test at some 50W\, to see if a simplex option is available. This \,I hope\, everyone else will also do please\, depending on your equipment.\n \nWhat I would like to collect is your info on Callsign\, Location\, Power output\, power receive and receive quality.\n \nWe will then move back to PO\, to discuss the findings.\n \nMany thanks Vaughn
