DESCRIPTION:Graham\, G4FSG\, will be measuring transmission/return loss of filters\, circulators\, aerials etc between 10MHz and 5GHz. Connectors should be BNC\, N type\, SMA or PL259 – if you have any others then please bring adaptors! This is your opportunity to check whether that filter or aerial is tuned to the frequency that you think it is! \nJohn G3XDY will be demonstrating his homebrew 144MHz solid state 1kW amplifier and will also have his PA for 23cm on display. The 2m PA includes a novel overdrive protection circuit. \nPeter G0DZB will be operating HF /Portable from the field behind the hall. He’ll be using his Elecraft KX3 with PX3 and KXPA-100. Unsure of which antenna he’ll bring\, but it will undoubtedly use some 10m Fishing rods and bits of wire.
