Club Meeting, Rig Clinic
April 9 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Ian, G0OZS, has kindly offered to do a rig clinic on the 9th of April at our normal meting place. This will help us all to stay within the regulations of our licences, especially those who cannot make other clubs. The tests will help to reassure, diagnose faults and possibly help to fix those rigs you have not working as they used too.
I hope to see many of you there, with your radios, to help make this a great night and chat about who’s using what.
For more details on the tests available and what to bring please see below.
Ian will be bringing the following, as a minimum. 12 volt power supply. If you need anything other than mains or 12 volt bring this yourself. He also uses a Spectrum analyser, which can give photographic evidence of the test for your records. Frequency counter and a Dummy load.
He will be able to test harmonics of 2500MHz, (2nd of 23cm or 3rd of 70cm), and power, carrier frequency and modulation dc to 70cm up to 300W pep.
